Earthly Delights was founded on several basic principles: to make growing cannabis easier and less expensive; to grow better tasting, better smelling, and higher yielding cannabis; to be kind to the environment; and to use sustainable, organic ingredients.
The Just-Add-Water Method
Cannabis can be extremely complicated and quite expensive to grow, depending on your methods. There’s a common misconception that the complicated & expensive method is the only method…but it’s not! We promote the Just-Add-Water method, developed by a famous master grower named Subcool. His growing method involves creating what he dubbed a “super soil,” by infusing a mixture of high-end potting soils with additional amendments, nutrients, trace minerals, beneficial bacteria and fungi, the process creates a biologically active ecosystem within the soil, capable of feeding cannabis plants for their entire vegetative and flowering stages, with no additional nutrients required. Our Organic Gold product is a ready-made biologically active soilless amendment ready to turn any medium into super soil right out of the bag, with no additional blending or mixing required.
Directions
Place 1 lb. of Earthly Delights Organic Gold in the base of your growing container for every gallon the container holds: 5 lbs. for a 5-gallon pot, 7 lbs. for a 7-gallon pot, etc. Fill the remainder of your growing container to within 1” from the top with a high-end amended potting soil or soilless medium like peat moss or coco coir . Plant your clones or seedlings directly into the medium, and from there, just add water (and love) until harvest time!
Tips (PRO TIPS)
In order to ensure you have the most successful grow possible, we strongly advise adhering to the following, where possible:
Mix Earthly Delights Organic Gold with your growing medium of choice in the bottom third of your pot to create even root growth and prevent plants from getting root bound in the top layers.
Top dress pots and gardens with Earthly Delights Organic Gold to create a no-till affect that retains carbon, nutrients and biologic life. Also top dress before replanting or beginning to fruit or flower plants to give a boost to yields.
Use de-chlorinated water. We recommend using an in-line garden filter containing both carbon + KDF, to remove chlorine, as well as reduce chloramine and traces of heavy metals.
Use water with a pH of 5.5 to 6.5. To correct your water’s pH, use granular citric acid or apple cider vinegar for pH down, or potassium bicarbonate, baking soda or lime for pH up.
Do NOT over-water. The soil should be allowed to dry out in-between waterings. Use a moisture meter or your finger to test the soil. Soilless mediums plus Earthly Delights Organic Gold conserves water.
For indoor grows, maintain a room temperature of at least 65° F. We recommend an infrared space heater, if needed. Maintain a temperature below 100° F. We recommend to use a dual hose air-conditioner that does not remove air from the room to maintain air pressure and Carbon Dioxide levels.
For indoor grows, humidity must be regulated. For vegetative growth around 70% and flowering around 40%.
For indoor grows make sure your light is over head at least twelve inches above the plants and directed at the plants. Light cycles for indoor vegetative growth 12 on - 5 off - 2 on - 5 off. Flowering light cycle 8 on - 16 off. Get a light meter to make sure your light is at least 4 moles.
Carbon Dioxide inputs from tanks are not necessary when growing indoors with a Biologically Active Soil or Soilless medium. The bacteria and fungus present in Earthly Delights Organic Gold will inoculate your medium and produce enough Carbon Dioxide to maintain CO2 levels over 500 PPM. To achieve Carbon Dioxide levels over 700 PPM: first, seal the room, then open the door daily, use a dual hose air conditioner that pulls air in not out and lastly personally work in the room for at least one hour a day.
Sungrown can happen year round check your local sunrise and sunset or use a light deprivation tarp dependent upon the stage of the plants life-cycle you are trying to seek. Also, make sure the temperatures will suit the plants. Vegetative growth can be hotter then flowering. Cannabis can veg at temperatures ranging from 65 to 105° F. Cannabis can finish flowering at 40° F to 65° F but don’t let them frost.
Use fabric pots. We strongly recommend Living Soil pots by Grassroots and Root Trapper II pots. Bigger pots equal bigger yields.
Not mandatory, but we support the use of aerated microbial rich compost tea made with our super soil to water with and use as a foliar spray to prevent pests and disease. To grow more microbial life in your compost tea, dechlorinate water, add sugar and aeration. Don’t forget to pH your compost tea. Alkaline foliar sprays help to prevent powdery mildew. For the cleanest taste and the best expression of the plants flavonoids and terpenoids make sure to only use plain water at least the last 14 days of flowering to flush out any excess of mineral salts in the medium allowing the plants to grow cleanly the last two weeks before harvest.

Earthly Delights is made from: Coconut coir, earthworm castings, composted chicken manure, rabbit manure, diatomaceous earth, perlite, greensand, fish bone meal, blood meal, feather meal, alfalfa meal, cottonseed meal, seabird guano, biochar, kelp meal, Azomite, basalt, glacial rock dust, humic acid, fulvic acid, Epsom salt, dolomite lime, sucanat, mycorrhizal fungi that exchange nutrients with plants, and beneficial bacteria that convert nitrogen and phosphorus from the air and protect against pests and diseases.
