Organic amendments and mediums help to create thriving biomes all around us. Each pot and raised bed becomes a living system that helps to produce symbiosis with the world around us. Plants grow in symbiosis with bacteria, fungus, insects and animals, which includes us. Earthly Delights Organic Gold is an Organic Amendment blend that inoculates soil with fungus, bacteria and a broad spectrum of nutrients that provide healthy, abundant and nutrient dense food! Food that has brighter colors, better taste and more of the medicinal properties that make every meal medicine. Organic gardening is a labor of love and patience. It is often important to know that there will be lose when doing things organically. Some plants can be planted around the garden to catch or distract pests from the veggies and fruits you want safe. Some fruits of your labor may get eaten by bugs or sometimes even my dog, Jack, who likes to eat ripe tomatoes off the vine, but I never have to worry about if the tomatoes are washed before he consumes them or if there will be enough for me to eat. Organic gardening allows me to pick fruits and vegetables in the garden and eat them right there without worrying what toxic chemicals I may be consuming. Organic gardening is also safe for pollinators. Some of the most important bugs in the garden are the ones that pollenate the flowers so that the fruits grow. When you spray herbicides and pesticides on plants there is no discrimination between which bugs get exposed to those chemicals. Some organic pesticides can even negatively affect pollinators. It is very important to check before you spray. Using Earthly Delights in your soil helps to build the plants immune system without sprays, but if you need a foliar spray the manure and amendments in Organic Gold is safe way to make a compost tea and spray without harming the delicate ecosystem. With a Living soil or medium plants are exposed to bacteria and fungus that help to strengthen the plants immune system through exposure rather than killing off competition. The competition for the fruits of our labor can be frustrating but is also easy to deal with when our plants grow huge and healthy and produce delicious edibles well past harvest season and enough abundance to even share with our neighbors. The plants can withstand more heat, drought, rain or even the cold. Plants grown this way are more pest resistant but they are not pest proof. For example, you may have to wash some aphids off your collard leaves before you eat them but there will also be more leaves without aphids then you can realistically eat.
What is Earthly Delights Biologically Active Potting Soil?
Earthly Delights Provides Organic Potting Soil which is made from our Organic Gold soilless blend of Amendments. Earthly Delights Biologically Active Potting Soil is a fertile mix of organic and sustainable mediums, soil microbes along with a broad spectrum of nutrients. Our Potting Soil is uniquely sustainable as we have chosen to use coco coir as more than 50% of our base. Our vision for renewable gardening sets us apart; we include <10% peat moss, which although known to be unsustainable, is heavily used by most soil companies. The combination of organic ingredients and a blend of bacteria offer protection and nutrients to plants and create a well-drained living biome. Plants are able to thrive indoors or outdoors in containers, in the ground or in raised beds.
Easy, Plant-ready Soil
With Earthly Delights Biologically Active Potting Soil, no additional soil amendments are needed. Our Potting Soil is already mixed with our own Organic Gold amendment that creates a nutrient rich, living soil. Our Potting Soil allows growers to practice the just-add-water method – no additional feeding or fertilizing needed. Our Organic Biologically Active Potting Soil is a ready-made, super soil for use right out of the bag.
How to Use Earthly Delights in your Garden
1) Organic Gold is great for top dressing any garden. Spread a few handfuls at the base of fruiting plants and water it in or spread a 1 inch layer across your entire garden after every harvest season.
2) Organic Gold is great to make a compost tea to water or foliar spray. We support the use of Actively Aerated Compost Tea (AACT), and compost tea extracts, particularly when made from our Earthly Delight Organic Gold.
3) Organic Gold when used in conjunction with Earthly Delights Biologically Active Potting soil creates thriving plants in raised beds and containers. In the bottom of the container place 1 pound of Organic Gold for every gallon the container holds. So for a 7 gallon pot add 7 pounds of Organic Gold. Then fill the pot With ED Biologically Active Potting Soil to within 1 inch of the rim. Then place seedlings or rooted clones directly into the potting mix and just-add-water.
4) For container gardens and house plants, we recommend filling the container up to 1 inch below the top of the pot. Create a hole for the plant’s root ball, break up the bottom of the root mass and place in the hole. Fill around the roots and gently press down to secure the plant.
5) Use de-chlorinated water. We recommend using a filter containing carbon + KDF which removes chlorine and traces of heavy metal. Any type of filtered water will work.
6) Do NOT over water. The soil should be allowed to dry out in between waterings. Use a moisture meter regularly to test the moisture levels near the root zone. Larger pots will take longer to dry out when the plant is young.
7) For indoor grows, maintain a room temperature of at least 65 F.
The Just-Add-Water Method
Gardening can be extremely complicated and quite expensive depending on your methods. There’s a common misconception that the complicated & expensive method is the best method…but it’s not! We promote the Just-Add-Water method, developed by a famous master grower named Subcool. His growing method involves creating what he dubbed a “super soil,” by infusing a mixture of high-end potting soils with additional amendments, nutrients, trace minerals, beneficial bacteria and fungi, the process creates a biologically active ecosystem within the soil, capable of feeding cannabis plants for their entire vegetative and fruiting stages, with no additional nutrients required. Our Organic Gold product is a ready-made biologically active soilless amendment ready to turn any medium into super soil right out of the bag, with no additional blending or mixing required.

Earthly Delights Biologically Active Potting Soil is made from: Coco coir, compost, perlite, sphagnum peat moss, worm castings, AZOMITE®, fungal infused biochar, diatomaceous earth, basalt, glacial rock dust, greensand, seabird guano, feather meal, fish bone meal, blood meal, alfalfa meal, oyster shell flour, kelp meal, fish emulsion, crab meal, shrimp meal, bat guano, dolomite lime, sucanat, langbeinite, Epsom salt, humic acid mycorrhizal fungi, beneficial bacteria and biofertility microbes. All ingredients listed.
